Lane closures in effect until October for Interstate 35 resurfacing project in the north metro area

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Motorists will encounter lane closures and delays on both directions of I-35 in Chisago County as Mn/DOT continues to resurface the roadway and make drainage improvements. The project extends from Highway 95 (the North Branch exit) and the Goose Creek Rest Area (1.5 miles north of Harris).

The roadway will be reduced to a single lane in both directions until the project is completed in late October and includes concrete replacement and drainage improvements. The lane closures extend for approximately seven miles.

The project began on July 7 and included temporary single lanes, preparatory work and the construction of single-lane bypasses and emergency pull offs.
