Mn/DOT announces Greater Minnesota interchange projects

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Transportation Commissioner Tom Sorel today announced $30 million in highway interchange projects in Greater Minnesota that will promote economic development, increase employment, relieve congestion and promote safety.

“Making improvements to these key interchanges demonstrate strategic transportation investments that help improve our economy and also increase safety and mobility,” Commissioner Sorel said. “We have worked closely with Mn/DOT district staff, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and local partners to select these projects.”

The selected Greater Minnesota interchange improvement projects funded by bonds are:

  • Highway 15/Stearns County Highway 120 interchange in St. Cloud/Sartell - $10 million
  • Interstate 94/Wright County Highway 19 & 37 near Albertville - $5.44 million
  • Highway 52/Olmsted County Highway12 in Pine Island - $14.56 million

These projects have additional funds from other sources committed to them.
